Our First Holiday Together | Tenerife, Costa Adeje

At the beginning of June, my boyfriend Benji and I headed to Tenerife for our first holiday abroad together. We wanted something fairly inexpensive, sunny and relaxing. We chose Tenerife for ease, and booked an adults-only, all inclusive holiday via First Choice. We stayed at Hovima Costa Adeje, a short distance from the Airport after a 4 hour flight from Gatwick.

The handy thing about booking with a travel agent, is the ease of having your transport booked for you too. We stepped off the plane, onto a coach, and arrived at our hotel with no problems.

The Hovima Hotel was everything we needed. It's not my favourite all-inclusive resort I've stayed in, but it certainly ticked all our boxes. With two pools, two restaurants, daily day and evening entertainment, walking distance to the beach and close proximity to Siam Park, we had everything we needed.

As a volcanic island, I was told that Tenerife has 'black sand', which isn't very soft. I've been to Lanzarote, Gran Canaria and Fuerteventura, and their beaches all vary however, the sand at Playa De Fañabé beach was gorgeous!

We took many a stroll down here, both day and night, and even played a game of mini golf. There's a couple of beach bars and plenty of sunloungers however, I'm a pool girl on holiday and didn't spend a day down the beach. Being in an all-inclusive hotel also meant we wanted to stay near the bar for drinks.

The Hovima has a buffet restaurant where we ate all our meals. Breakfast was my favourite as they had chefs cooking fresh omelettes and pancakes for you. Some nights were better than others, but I do enjoy a buffet on holiday. One evening, we booked into the Ocean Blue Restaurant, including in our all-inclusive package and alternating between fish and meat nights. We had an incredible meal here, it was super romantic and the wine washed down well with our beef and duck.

We're quite the adrenaline junkies, so we didn't hesitate in wanting to book Siam Park. I worked with a company called Attraction Tickets Direct for content for their channel and my own vlog however, it's a place I now can't wait to return to. We had deluxe all-inclusive tickets, which included unlimited food, drinks and fast passes. I can honestly, hand on heart, say these are 100% worth it. We skipped the queues (up to an hour long!) all day, rode our favourite rides over and over, and had the best day ever. I'll always remember it as a highlight to our trip.

So, if you're looking for a quick getaway, Tenerife is really perfect. We had sunshine all day, every day, with the odd cloud in the morning. As a volcanic island, there's always a slight breeze which is perfect as temperatures can soar around 28 - 30 degrees. (We're both ginger and very pale, so appreciated the breeze A LOT).

If you missed it, we filmed the holiday and shared on my YouTube, so be sure to watch it below!

Benji, thank you for the best holiday. I won't forget the countless card games, binge watching Line Of Duty, the hilariousness of trying all-inclusive Cocktails, reading books, snacking on crisps in bed, screaming on Singha at Siam Park, late nights, lie-ins and your company for a week straight. Here's to the next one!
