Sandos Monaco Hotel | #VisitBenidorm, Spain

Since returning from Benidorm at the end of May, I've been asked a few times on Twitter which hotel we stayed in. As the trip was courtesy of & Visit Benidorm, it was kindly booked for me as part of experiencing the 'Alternative Side Of Benidorm', but I was honestly so pleasantly surprised, that I thought I'd give you a brief overview and recommendation for somewhere to stay if you're looking to visit the Spanish destination!

We stayed at Sandos Monaco, an all-inclusive and adults-only hotel perfectly placed in the modern city of Benidorm, Costa Blanca. Among the lively Levante beach and the center of the city, you'll find a great deal of restaurants, bars, pubs and stores. As it's centrally located, the beach is within walking distance too.

The room had everything I needed. Air conditioning, a balcony, mini-fridge, TV, bath, big mirrors, comfy beds, and a desk area to do my hair and makeup. My room was on the 8th floor, with views panning across to the sea and beach. It was lovely and peaceful, I slept really well every night and not once was I disturbed by any noise (considering I was there on a Saturday with partying too!)

We only ate in the restaurant for lunch once, but had breakfast every morning. We were completely spoilt for choice! With plenty of tables, a huge buffet for everyone, you could guarantee there was something you'd like. My personal favourites for breakfast included freshly made omelettes, pancakes, churros (with chocolate sauce!) and pineapple juice. The one day we eat for lunch, I was seriously craving chips and guess what? They did not disappoint. We also ate at the snack bar by the pool which sadly, wasn't as nice, but the convenience was appreciated.

As our Benidorm trip was packed full of activities with a full itinerary, we only sunbathed by the pool in the afternoon. There are two pools, one which gets most of the sun during the day, and this pool which is sadly in the shade until 2/3pm, but gets the sun for the afternoon. This meant the water was reaaaallyyyy cold, and I'm normally a huge water baby who'll swim in any waters! It took some getting used to, but I got some lengths in and also took a tip in the jacuzzi (cold too).

I sadly cannot comment on the dinner, entertainment or spa as I didn't have time to experience any of them however, I generally found the hotel clean and comfortable, staff exceptionally friendly and the fact there were no children really suited our girls trip!

Starting from just £200pp with icelolly, check out Sandos Monaco here!
