Derby Manor Hotel & Afternoon Tea | #1 in Bournemouth!

I was kindly invited down to the Derby Manor Hotel in Bournemouth today to enjoy some afternoon tea and have a good catch up with my friend Suzi from Bournemouth News & Info. We were also joined by James from Dorset Food Network. I wasn't asked to write a review, but as I was there and super impressed with this little gem in Bournemouth, I wanted to share it with you.

The Derby Manor is an Edwardian hotel with a contemporary twist.  Once used by Lord Derby when visiting Bournemouth, it endeavours to reflect his keen interest in horses and horse racing. The rooms are named after race courses including the Ascot, Cheltenham and Sandown. Having only opened in February this year, I was extremely impressed to learn of it's status as No.1 of 78 hotels in Bournemouth on TripAdvisor!

As part of our Afternoon Tea, we enjoyed a glass of prosecco, pot of English tea,
selection of ribbon sandwiches, homemade traditional scones, quiche and cakes. Absolutely delicious. I was then kindly taken on a tour of the rooms and was certainly impressed. With plush carpets, grand bed frames and even diamantes in the wallpaper, this certainly deserves it's first class rating.

I am honestly so impressed with how stunning this hotel is. Having lived in Bournemouth my whole life, I am often asked for recommendations for places to stay, and will 100% be keeping this in the front of my mind. With rooms starting at £120 including breakfast, I personally think this is a great value for the quality and luxury.

As the hotel is also family-run, expect great service around the clock, cleanliness throughout and the finest attention to detail. Thank you to James for having me, I'll be back!
