The Konjac 100% Natural Vegetable Sponge

I've had this product for a couple of months after I received it in a goodie bag at a Southampton bloggers event. There's been so much hype about electronic cleansing brushes recently but I've still stuck to using my Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish and the muslin cloth it comes with. As this is a little step up from a muslin, I thought I'd give it a go and share my thoughts!

What is a Konjac Sponge?
It's made with 100% natural konjac fibres from the root of the amorphophallus konjac plant, which is a naturally rich edible plant. The net like structure of the sponge gently massages and stimulates blood flow for new growth of skin cells and to help leave it feeling extremely soft, clean and refreshed.

What are the key benefits?
It gently exfoliates, r
efines pores and conditions the skin. It's also gentle enough for the delicate eye. I really love the fact it's kind to the environment being 100% natural, colouring free and biodegradable too!

How do you use the sponge?
Easy! You just rinse and massage straight onto the skin in small circular movements. A cleanser is completely optional however, I do prefer using it with my Liz Earle cleanser personally. You then hang in a cool and ventilated area to air dry! It'll need changing every 1 - 3 months.

How did your skin feel?
Not too much different from my muslin cloth however, I've much prefered using this. The shape makes it really easy to hold in the palm on my hand and it gently exfoliates without feeling harsh or scrubby on my skin. I don't take my makeup off with it however, I can go over my eyes with my cleanser which feels super nice. I've also used it on the tops of my arms as I have little red bumps called Keratosis pilaris. There's no cure for this, so I have struggled to find products which are gentle enough to exfoliate with and this is just perfect for my upper arms too!

Who would you recommend it for?
All skin types to be honest! I have dry, eczema prone skin and it didn't dry mine out at all.

How much is it?
It's £7.99 on Amazon and you can read more about it on their website here too!
