After a little bit of posting back and forth (I'm quite fussy and don't like reviewing anything for you that I'm not happy with!), I finally settled on this b-e-a-utiful S/S '14 dress from the same Australian brand, Seafolly. Priced at £41.00, this Oasis Byron Dress doesn't come cheap but was my most worn, versatile piece of clothing I have ever taken on holiday. Let me tell you why!
Firstly, the fabric is to die for. 100% Rayon, this reminds me of my cashmere pashminas. It's super soft and comfortable, it doesn't stick to my skin and arrived knotted up in a ball, so I didn't even have to worry about creasing as that's 'the look' it's meant to be! In terms of sizing, I'm a UK 12-14 and knowing that Seafolly comes up quite tight, I went for a size Large which fitted perfectly.
2013's biggest hair trend has also been increasingly popular in fashion over the last year, and the ombre design on this was a big selling point for me. I love the pink tones and contrast white rope for the straps, even though I'm quite pale this didn't wash me out. I also loved the little tassels on the bottom however, it did make the dress feel quite long, almost to my knees! The tie concept is great, you can pull the straps/rope and adjust the height position of the neckline. Once I had it perfect (almost a scoop style), I tied a small knot and it never came undone.
Although the dress is pricey, I loved it so much and wore it to breakfast, around the pool, for beach walks and shopping in town. To highlight just how fab I believe this is, my mum has gone and bought herself the blue version from Simply Beach in preparation for her holiday to Dubai in a few months - yipee!
What do you think? Have you got any essential items of clothing you take on holiday?
