Brownsea Island Adventure

I live in arguably one of the most beautiful places in the UK. I can see the Isle Of Wight from my Dad's house, have a beautiful town by a Quay at my house and we're a short drive to Sandbanks in Poole by Rich's house, the fourth most expensive place to live in the world. Brownsea Island is the largest of eight island in Poole Harbour, and is owned by the National Trust. Accessible via ferry or private boat, there is a large population of non-native deers, endangered Red Squirrels, Peacocks and is beautiful for long walks and camping. I took the day off work today and we spent the morning/afternoon walking the whole island. It was so peaceful and the sun was shining through the trees. I absolutely love doing things like this with Rich, we had such a nice time and enjoyed our first picnic (with a few pheasants wanting to join!). I couldn't leave my camera behind but the photos just don't do justice to how beautiful it truly was.

  4. I just adore that part of the world (and the milka daim!). My in-laws have a holiday home in Poole so we go frequently but for some reason only went to Brownsea on the last visit. It was aMAYzing and we're definitely going back next time we go (in a few weeks, yay!)

  6. I used to visit the South Coast on holiday each year and Poole has always been one of my favourite places to take photos. It is so beautiful and you're lucky to close to it! I've never been to Brownsea Island but whenever we got the ferry (which I think is next to the Brownsea Island stand?!) I always considered going!
    Your photos are also lovely.

  9. My thoughts immediately turn to an image of a pale, slender gentleman, walking through an alien jungle with little protection from the sun other than his floppy hat. Navigate to this web-site
